A rich man was near death, and was saddened because he had worked so hard for his money, and he wanted to take it with him to Heaven. So he began to pray that he might be able to take some of his wealth along. His guardian angel heard his plea and appeared to him.

“Sorry,” his guardian angel said, “but you can’t t…ake your wealth with you.” The man implored the angel to intercede with God to see if He might make an exception. The man continued to pray fervently that at least some of his wealth could follow him.

His guardian angel reappeared and informed the man that God had decided to allow him to take one suitcase with him, containing whatever he wanted. The angel continued by saying that he had never heard of such an exception before, but that once every few millennia God would grant very special and unusual favors for certain individuals who had demonstrated great courage and charity on earth, as the rich man certainly had.

Overjoyed, the man had his sons buy him the biggest suitcase on the market, fill it with pure gold bars, and place it beside his bed. Soon afterward the man died and appeared at the gates of heaven to greet St. Peter.

St. Peter, seeing the enormous suitcase, said, “Hold on, you can’t bring that in here!” The man explained that he had permission, and asked him to verify his story with God.

So St. Peter checked and came back saying, “You’re right. You are allowed one carry-on bag, but I’m supposed to check its contents before letting it through.” He opened the suitcase to inspect the worldly items that the man found too precious to leave behind.
Baffled, St. Peter looked up at the rich man. “You brought pavement!!

The rich man caried gold but found that heavenly pavements were made of gold

The following beautiful prayer was recorded in a collection of noble sayings about 325 A.D. Its author is unknown.

May I be no man’s enemy, and may I be the friend of that which is eternal and abides.
May I love, seek and attain only that which is good.
May I wish for all men’s happiness and envy none.
May I never rejoice in the ill fortune of one who has wronged me. When I have said or done that which is wrong, may I never wait for the rebuke of others, but always rebuke myself until I make amends.
May I win no victory that harms either me or my opponent.
May I, to the extent of my power, give all needful help to my friends and to all who are in want.
May I be able, by gentle and healing words, when visiting those in grief, to soften their pain.
May I respect myself.
May I always keep tame that which rages within me.
May I accustom myself to be gentle and never angry with people because of circumstances.
May I never discuss who is wicked and what wicked things he has done, but know good men and follow in their footsteps.

Guide our country:
To nurture the ideals of equality and brotherhood;
To provide the opportunities of life for all;
To value and protect the rights of individuals;
To lift up the unfortunate and afflicted;
To honour motherhood and fatherhood;
To build up a sturdy and industrious generation;
To grant justice to all, regardless of caste or creed;
To be strong in battle for the right, magnanimous in victory, and honourable in the establishment of a just and charitable peace;
To follow after righteousness and godliness—that alone exalts a nation.

Christmas Prayer

Loving Father, Help us remember the birth of Jesus,
that we may share in the song of the angels,
the gladness of the shepherds,
and worship of the wise men.

Close the door of hate and open the door of love all over the world. Let kindness come with every gift and good desires with every greeting. Deliver us from evil by the blessing which Christ brings, and teach us to be merry with clear hearts.

May the Christmas morning make us happy to be thy children, and Christmas evening bring us to our beds with grateful thoughts, forgiving and forgiven, for Jesus’ sake. Amen.

I cannot say THY KINGDOM COME if I am not doing all in my power to hasten that wonderful event.
I cannot say THY WILL BE DONE if I am disobedient to His word.
I cannot say ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN if I will not serve Him here and now.

God answers all our prayers

I asked God for strength that I might achieve.
God made me weak that I might learn humbly to obey.

I asked for health that I might do greater things.
God gave me infirmity that I might do better things.

I asked for riches that I might be happy.
God gave me poverty that I might be wise.

I asked for power that I might have the praise of men.
God gave me weakness that I might feel the need of God.

I asked for all things that I might enjoy life.
God gave me life that I might enjoy all things.

I got nothing that I asked for,
but everything I hoped for.

Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered. I am, among all men, most richly blessed.”

Let it go

I SAW YOU TODAY AND IMAGINED HOW IT COULD BE FOR ME TO SEE WEARING COMPLETELY NOTHING BUT A SMILE.

Have a cheeky but darling day. Cheers! Hope you read the following message which i have dedicated to you. Hi! This year is still fresh and I hope you are focused to achieve your set aspirations. I know some carry-overs from last year or recent past could be dragging you down. Well am not sure but if there is anything you deem a burden or hurdle in your life then let it go. T. D. Jakes, a prominent preacher ignited my day when i read the following from him. I thought it could make good reading for you too.

There are people who can walk away from you.
And hear me when I tell you this! When people can walk away from you: let them walk. I don’t want you to try to talk another person into staying with you, loving you, calling you, caring about you, coming to see you, staying attached to you. I mean hang up the phone.

When people can walk away from you let them walk. Your destiny is never tied to anybody that left. The Bible said that, they came out from us that it might be made manifest that they were not for us. For had they been of us, no doubt they would have continued with us. [1 John 2:19]

People leave you because they are not joined to you. And if they are not joined to you, you can’t make them stay. Let them go. And it doesn’t mean that they are a bad person it just means that their part in the story is over. And you’ve got to know when people’s part in your story is over so that you don’t keep trying to raise the dead. You’ve got to know when it’s dead. You’ve got to know when it’s over.

Let me tell you something. I’ve got the gift of good-bye. It’s the tenth spiritual gift, I believe in good-bye. It’s not that I’m hateful, it’s that I’m faithful, and I know whatever God means for me to have He’ll give it to me. And if it takes too much sweat I don’t need it.

Stop begging people to stay. LET THEM GO!!!
If you are holding on to something that doesn’t belong to you and was never intended for your life, then you need to…LET IT GO!!!
If you are holding on to past hurts and pains… LET IT GO!!!
If someone can’t treat you right, love you back, and see your worth. LET IT GO!!!
If someone has angered you …LET IT GO!!!
If you are holding on to some thoughts of evil and revenge…LET IT GO!!!
If you are involved in a wrong relationship or addiction… LET IT GO!!!
If you are holding on to a job that no longer meets your needs or talents …LET IT GO!!!
If you have a bad attitude…LET IT GO!!!
If you keep judging others to make yourself feel better…LET IT GO!!!
If you’re stuck in the past and God is trying to take you to a new level in Him… LET IT GO!!!
If you are struggling with the healing of a broken relationship…LET IT GO!!!
If you keep trying to help someone who won’t even try to help themselves…LET IT GO!!!
If you’re feeling depressed and stressed….LET IT GO!!!

If there is a particular situation that you are so used to handling yourself and God is saying, “take your hands off of it,” then you need to…LET IT GO!!!
Let the past be the past. Forget the former things. GOD is doing a new thing this year!!! LET IT GO!!!
Get Right or Get Left … think about it, and then …LET IT GO!!!
“The Battle is the Lord’s!”
