Kenya’s biggest rivers are Tana and Athi in east part of the country. They account for more than 90 percent hydropower generated in the country. In the west part of the Mara, Nyando, Nzoia, Yoland,sondu-Miriu rivers, which empty into Lake Victoria. In the Turkwel River, which drains into Lake Turkana. Others rivers include Sabaki, Gucha, Kerio, Mbaga-, Naro Mom, Njoro and Tsavo.
