		<description>It is believed that the Duruma came from the southern part of africa as slaves (Khosan)as it&#039;s partly stated. This is because names like Zuma is very common in Duruma. The digo&#039;s mostly refer the duruma&#039;s as their nephews and nieces (mphwangu) in swahili is mpwangu refering to the son or daugther of your sister. The slaves were left in mombasa town and during evening they could get Digo women who were selling fish around for the night. The phenomena was common hence the digo women could ask themselves whether her colegue has gotten a man (A turume- amale sheep). The children born were given to them hence the turumes became durumas</description>
