Justin Muturi Biography
Justin Muturi whose full name is Justin Bedan Njoka Muturi was born on April 28, 1956. He is the Seventh speaker of the National Assembly of Kenya .He is the first speaker to serve following the re establishment bi cameral Parliament as mandated by the 2010 constitution.Muturi was first elected as a member of KANU to represent the then Siakago constituency (now Mbere North in Embu county) in parliament following a by- election in 1999.

On 28 March 2013, Muturi won the speakership after a second round of voting by Members of the National Assembly, beating former speaker Kenneth Marende by a 219 – 129 margin
Justin Muturi Job History
His career in Law began in 1982 when he was admitted to the bar as an advocate of the High Court, Kenya
During his tenure in the judiciary, he was elected the chairman, Kenya Judges and Magistrate Association.

From 1982 – Up to 1984: District magistrate of Judicial Service Commission

April 2011: Appointed as the chairman of the Centre for Multiparty Democracy (CMD), a civil society group that deals with democracy issues in multi-party politics.
