Kabando wa Kabando Biography
Geofrey Kariuki Mwangi popularly known as Kabando wa Kabando after he changed his name in 11th October 2002 was born in August 1967 in Mukurweini constituency, Nyeri county. He is the 7th member of parliament of Mukurweini constituency, he was first elected in 2007 on a SAFINA party ticket thereby overtaking the then member of parliament Hon Mutahi Kagwe. He was then re elected in 2013 on a TNA (The National Alliance) party ticket.
Kabando wa Kabando is described as a compassionate leader with insights and foresight on social trends. As a former student Leader, Kabando has been an agitator for reforms that positively affect the common Mwananchi by calling leaders to account for their time in Office. As a Leader in office Kabando is on record as citing chapter six of Kenya’s Constitution on Integrity as his pet subject. Kabando’s CDF track record indicates a keen focus on provision of Bursary funds for education to the less fortunate of his Constituency.

Kabando wa kabando enrolled for his O Level at Ololoserian high school. He later joined Nairobi university (1990- 1993) as an undergraduate pursuing BA (Political Science). In 1999 up to 2001 he studied at State University of New York and graduated with MA (Public Policy and Management)

Kabando wa Kabando Family
Kabando wa kabando’s mother Rose Wachera Mwangi Kabando was hacked to death by his last born son Mr Caesar Thiari Mwangi’s on July 27, 2014 at Kaini village Mukurwe-ini, Nyeri County. Caesar is said to have beheaded his mother with a panga.
On October 14, 2015 he appeared before the Nyeri High Court and denied killing his mother.
Thiari had been getting psychiatric treatment at the Mathari Hospital since August 6 after Judge Wakiaga declared him mentally unfit to proceed with the murder case. Mr Wakiaga made the declaration following a psychiatric report, which was presented before the court by Mr Njue, the State Counsel. Mr Njue told the court that according to the mental examination results, the accused person had a history of chronic psychiatric illness.
