She is popularly known for her role in the Tahidi High Show as Tanya. Sarah Hassan Career as an actress
It was in high school, Machakos Girls, where Sarah Hassan was appointed as the Entertainment Prefect with a love for drama and her most memorable moments were when she was crowned Miss Mac Gee, which caught her by surprise since she had just participated for fun.
Sarah Hassan rise to fame came through Tahidi High when she was acting as Tanya. In the character, she depicted a sweet looking strong willed girl who is born and raised in an upper class family who tries to blend in with the rest of her school mates. Through the production where she was for a period of almost four years Sarah Hassan acting grew.Through her brilliant performance in this production Sarah Hassan was able to take up acting positions in Changes that was featured in MNET Demigods and saints.She has also also later acted in Kenyan Local television series including an NTV medical drama – Saints as ‘Lora’, ‘Kamila’ in Demigods also an NTV family drama, and as ‘Liza’ in M-Net’s ‘Changes’. Moreover she has also acted in a British NGO film called ‘I Am Slave’.Apart from acting, she has hosted several TV programmes including a Wedding show and a MNET’s Masharika Mix show and also being endorsed by Factory 55, a clothing line as a model and most recently as the presenter of the Wedding show aired at Citizen TV.
Sarah Hassan Moves to Los Angeles for Further Studies

NTV’s Discovery +254 co-host and former Tahidi High actress Sarah Hassan has quit local TV and relocated to Los Angeles, US for further studies.
Sarah Hassan made the announcement on her website, revealing she had actually relocated with her fiancé, Martin Dale.
“Immediately I started to work, I started saving up for school fees and two years ago, I started filling out my application. Every other day I used to look at my application and work harder,” she wrote.
She says she got admitted to a LA academy early last year after Dale encouraged her to send in the application.
“From when I was young, in school and was able to understand film and TV, I always wanted to go to Film school specifically New York Film Academy in Los Angeles to learn and understand more, but some dreams take longer to accomplish,” she wrote on her website.

“I wouldn’t have been able to get this far without my mum, dad and my entire family who have always been there for me, supporting me every step of the way, not forgetting my closest friends, yes… you know who you are.”
The TV host who says that she was an active kid when growing up, adds that she loved mathematics and went ahead to study actuarial science at JKUAT Karen campus.
Sarah says Dale surprised her when he bought two air tickets to LA, and decided to move with her as she studies and tries to pursue her dream.
She concludes by saying, “It is a scary, exciting dream. A new chapter in my life and I am so grateful to God for everything he has blessed me with so far. 2015 was an amazing year, the love of my life Mr Martin Dale, proposing to me, and getting accepted to the prestigious New York Film Academy.”

Former Wedding Show host and Tahidi High actress Sarah Hassan, better known by the pseudonym Tanya, has finally revealed the identity of her fiancé whom for long she has kept away from the public eye.
On a Friday (24.10.2015) Instagram post, the voluptuous presenter also broke the news of her engagement to Mr Martin Dale.
“The love of my life asked me to marry him and I said yes,” Sarah wrote on her official page.
Sarah also posted a picture of a beautiful silver ring on her finger on top of a bouquet of fresh yellow roses alongside another picture of her kissing Martin on the cheek.
She wrote: “He literally bought all the flowers at Sarit. One day I will tell you the whole story.”
In the same grid, there’s yet another where photo she’s smiling at the camera – visibly happy.
In September 2015, the couple had a vacation in South Africa where Sarah Hassan took to her official Instagram page to show off the gifts she had received from Martin.
Sarah Hassan also posted her three new designer Michael Kors watches with the caption: “Anniversary gifts! It feels like Christmas.”
