  1. Open your iPhone menu and click on “Settings” > “General” > “Network”
  2. Click on “Cellular Network Data”
  3. Enter the required information, normally:

  5. Username: saf
  6. Password: data

NOTE:

  1. The WIFI function should be turned off
  2. Menu > Settings > WIFI:WIFI OFF

  1. From the Home Screen, Swipe from bottom to top to access the menu.
  2. On the Menu Screen, Locate the settings icon and open it by tapping on it.
  3. On the System Settings Menu, Locate Network Connections and open it.
  4. On the Network Connections Menu, Locate Mobile Network and open it.
  5. On the Mobile Network Menu, Locate APN at the bottom and open it
  6. On the APN Settings Menu, Type the name “safaricom” under the Access Point Namethen Tap on Save at the top right corner.

  20. Press and Safaricom MMS1 until a pop-up menu is displayed.

For Versions 7.5 to Version 8

Multimedia Messaging (MMS) Settings
  1. Tap ADD
  2. Tap connection Name and type in Safaricom mms
  3. Scroll to mms APN and Enter safaricom for the mms Access Point Name
  4. Scroll to Proxy address and enter 172.022.002.038
  5. Tap Proxy Port and type in 8080
  6. Scroll to mmsc address and enter in http://mms.gprs.safaricom.com
  7. Tap authentication type and select PAP
  8. Tap the tick symbol
  9. Tap ok when informed that here are no internet settings as we have already entered these.
  10. Tap and hold Safaricom Internet and then select activate
  11. If you see the word active in blue under Safaricom internet then this has been completed successfully

Safaricom mms settings – Blackberry OS 10

Safaricom Multimedia Messaging (MMS) Settings

  1. On the Home Screen, swipe left to right to access the Hub.
  2. Tap Text Messages, then tap Menu (3 dots), then Settings.
  3. Tap Text Messages, then tap Advanced.
  4. Scroll down to APN Settings

Enter the following information:

  1. APN type safaricom
  2. Username type saf
  3. Password type data
  4. MMSC URL type http://mms.gprs.safaricom.com
  5. Proxy URL type 172.022.002.038:8080
  6. Proxy Username = Leave Blank
  7. Proxy Password = Leave Blank
  8. Tap Save
